Thread subject: Milford CT webcam this year?
Name Date Message
Melanie 04/05/12 11:06 am I'm having a hard time finding anything. There is a graphic that says Osprey Webcam that appears to be a link to nowhere. Does anyone have any insights?
terryo 04/05/12 02:56 pm Mel, it looks like they're going live next Monday, read below:

Tiger 04/05/12 03:28 pm Strange I was looking for that very cam a few hours ago. It is such a brilliant nest.
zorro89 04/05/12 03:40 pm Here's the chat room link for the people who follow the Milford cam. Sherri and Thomas, two of the followers, go out to the center where the tv hook-up is and they take pictures of the nest activity from time to time. They are a very active group of citizen scientists.

Melanie 04/06/12 02:26 pm It's live now and damn if they've already nailed the lens!
zorro89 04/06/12 03:03 pm It's amazing what a bird will go through to get a little privacy. If they've been there since 3/19 I suppose they've already had a full tilt or two or three. And it's a new cam this year, guess we'll have to wait for some rain.
Peter 04/06/12 07:53 pm Very Groovy video indeed as the sun sets.
Peter 04/07/12 10:55 am Both birds on the nest right now. Lens has cleared up a bit.
cathleen 04/08/12 05:22 pm Good job - I kept checking and found nothing. Thanks for the info - looking through the poop to see one osp there right now, busily tidying up!
Tiger 04/11/12 03:23 am Great to hear that this cam is back. This is one of the best.
Kelly 04/12/12 07:20 am Pic of egg :)

I'm particularly excited as this was another nest I visited in person last summer on June 21st. Unfortunately the visitor's center was closed by the time we got there.

The male had visited the perch briefly, then set off to go fishing (no doubt at the femaleâs âurgingâ) ⦠we hung around for about an hour but he did not return by the time we left and the female was still fish calling!

Here are a few pics :)
