Thread subject: Ospreys diving again at Pohtiolampi
Name Date Message
Pam 04/23/12 08:14 am This wonderful cam is up and running again and I have seen about four dives since switching on. It's a beautiful peaceful view of the pond and you can get a better idea of the layout of the site whilst the trees are bare. There is still some snow piled up on the left bank.
I am in the process of re-reading David Gessner's Return of the Osprey and have just read his chapter on fishing which makes you realize once more how wonderful the Ospreys are !!

martyc35 04/23/12 06:30 pm Thanks, Pam. I just passed that link along to some Pacific Northwesterners whose ospreys have just returned. Now I've got them thinking that the availability of fish, and not the weather (so much) determines when they return to nest. It's good to be able to share this info with our global neighbors.

Trishrg 04/24/12 09:06 am SCREAM! The commercial for Virgin Airlines with the guy chair dancing was pretty entertaining,
Thanks Pam. Now I have LMFAO's "Party Rock" stuck in my head!!!! LOL!
Pam 04/24/12 10:04 am I don't get the ads Trish because I view through Firefox with ad blocker - can't stand the ads - but rock on !!!
Pam 04/25/12 10:35 am I got a nice capture today
Nice catch
vickinish 04/25/12 10:51 am Great catch. And glad I looked at your site, I only see the Peregrine sitting quietly, had no idea we had four young ones.
Anne-UK1 05/04/12 09:21 am It looks as if things aren't going so well for the peregrines Pam. Only one chick left and I see you think there's damage to the adult's beak as well?
