Thread subject: The search for 09

People have volunteered, and are going to go look for him. We may not have to wait until next spring for news.

||Thanks for that, Trish.

||I hope they just find a transmitter. Isn't it incredible though that even in that remote part of the world there are people who just happen to be in the right spot at the right time. Fingers crossed for good news.

||If they found just a transmitter it would mean that Roy Dennis does not do his work properly. In my experience Roy is very good at what he does.
I will be very surprised if they find anything but a dead osprey as they have found in almost every similar case so far.

||I will be quite surprised too TIger, but not knowing would really be a drag.
I follow our local Bald Eagles here on the west coast of CA and I'm sure the IWS biologists have been surprised at some of the tracking devices their birds have managed to lose so soon. It happens.

||What a shame, particularly since this is not his first migration. Perhaps we will get answers as to what happened.
||09/21/12 06:57 am
||Yes there should be answers in a few days time.
||09/21/12 07:04 am
||Sorry to read that news this morning.
||09/21/12 08:11 am
||How sad, but at least we know.
||09/21/12 05:15 pm
||So sad. Thanks for letting us know, Tiger.

||Very sad. I'm glad they found him though and will have answers as to what happened. Better than not knowing, as is most often the case.
