Pam 10/01/12 05:31 pm Must have been fate, talking to AnneUK about garden wildlife on the board..below...I mentioned having seen a badger years ago and guess what??
3 badger photos !
Anne-UK1 10/01/12 05:41 pm Fantastic Pam! And what a coincidence. I hope he becomes a regular visitor :)
vickinish 10/01/12 05:58 pm I keep hearing about a badger extermination project going on. What is that about?
Anne-UK1 10/01/12 06:20 pm It's about the powers that be thinking they know best. There's a Q&A article here - Link

A 16% reduction in bovine TB over 9 years? Hardly going to make a huge difference to anything is it - unless you're a badger of course :(
martyc35 10/02/12 02:44 am Great photo captures, Pam. I had the usual raccoons and TWO skunks here tonight. Of course, I have never seen a badger. I doubt there are any here, and of course ours are different from yours, anyway.

Trishrg 10/02/12 08:35 am How cool is that!!! Gosh, I love your garden :-)
Pam 10/02/12 12:51 pm Hope it will make a return visit this evening. The garden does photograph well but it's not very big - the plan was for it to be easy to manage and plenty of cover for wildlife.
Marty, I really like the look of raccoons (I met one of those at close quarters once in Canada) but I know they can be pests. Skunks ...you can keep :-))
Celeste 10/03/12 05:02 pm Your garden first of all is beautiful!!! And, wow, a Badger!!! Interesting article....had no idea...Can't wait for the next installment:-)
DaisyG 10/04/12 04:44 am How brilliant Pam! Lovely photos.

Parts of Cheshire and Shropshire have been vaccinating badgers to show there is an alternative.
