Kestrel hosts today, and I shared the neglected ducks video over there, too.

Trishrg 10/07/12 08:42 pm Wonderful topic today.
I had a fantastic day birding yesterday, and got 5 new life birds, including 2 very rare birds for the west coast.
I had a Broad-winged Hawk, and a Black-throated Green Warbler, both east coast birds, so excellent birds to get on my life list! I also had a Solitary Sandpiper, Red-breasted Sapsucker, and Plumbeous Vireo, all new birds for me. I was just high on birding!
Check out my shots.

martyc35 10/07/12 10:05 pm Nice pics, Trish. I love the soras, don't you? And GGRO, where my granddaughter, Kate, is working, have had a raft of broadwings this year. Lineatus discussed that in the comments, too. I had always heard of Broadwing hawks as migrating about as far west as Texas until this year. Dunno what it all means.
