Tiger 04/02/13 11:00 am It is not often that you get a story which turns lots of things on its head. Well a little while ago that happened.

All week we have been going on about White YA and his seeming attempts to commit hari kari.

Well today we discover that his big brother is alive and well and living in the same area as his little brother.

See You could not make it up

Anne-UK1 04/02/13 01:05 pm That is quite incredible. They seem quite sure they've got the older bird's id correct. I wonder what the odds are of two birds from different years but the same nest of origin, ending up within yards of each other but miles away from their starting point!

I followed a link further down the Kielder page which I found interesting. It presumably explains why these several ospreys that have dropped in at Blagdon are still hanging around even though the weather's picked up. A new one on me, though some on here may already be aware of this "repair" process - Link
Tiger 04/02/13 05:40 pm That is my friend Paul.
DaisyG 04/03/13 02:22 pm It has been a fantastic week for news. One exciting thing after another.
Thankfully YA has not got caught up again since and has been commuting between Blagdon and Chew. Hopefully he will set off for home soon.
Anne-UK1 04/03/13 03:17 pm The best news is they were fixing the holes in those darned nets yesterday. I hope they keep a closer check on them in future. I also hope someone thinks about putting some nest platforms up, one of these fine days. That would do me very nicely :)
