Thread subject: Knitted Ospreys
Name Date Message
Pam 08/19/13 01:34 pm I just started making little miniature Ospreys They each take a lot of work over two days and plenty of sore fingers from making the wire-covered legs. I've enjoyed looking at my Osprey photos from years past to get ideas for the head feather patterns and a lot of the time I had the Rutland Water webcam on while I worked so plenty of inspiration.

I have three for sale in my shop, Loonville at Etsy.com. For the next couple of days at least I need a break from Ospreys, much as I love them :-)

martyc35 08/19/13 06:08 pm They are darling, and I have just ordered one. Thanks, Pam.

Pam 08/20/13 04:31 am It's in the post this morning Marty. Thank you for your order :-)
Anne-UK1 08/21/13 05:59 pm That's wonderful work Pam. You're very talented.
Pam 08/22/13 04:17 pm Thanks Anne...it keeps me out of mischief and gives me a challenge and something to work for. I've always knitted but didn't start selling my work until the end of April this year when somebody suggested I should. Now that I know I can design my own birds I am full of ideas as to what to do next but at the moment I'm just keeping up with enough orders to keep me busy. I do like the Ospreys though because I can vary the head and chest feather patterns.
