Nancy L 09/13/13 01:19 pm We went yesterday & it was even better than I imagined it would be. SO MANY paintings of his of every type of bird, with a little natural surrounding painted for each bird. They were mostly nice, large paintings of @ 15" x 18". Also, they had a video running that they must have made back in the '70s. He was in his studio telling us how he did his paintings, & also he was out in the woods, showing us things. They had his history & his books & some different photos. when he was younger & older. Also a nice photo taken when the kids were pre-early teens and Betty looked SO young!
This exhibit lasts to the end of this month & whoever can make it should. You will not be disappointed!
It's at the Suffolk County Historical Society museum in Riverhead.
Celeste 09/13/13 04:12 pm Really sounds nice Nancy...Thanks for the info. will try!
Pam 09/13/13 04:33 pm I really wish I could see it. Maybe if somebody else besides Nancy visits, they could mention that lots of Osprey lovers would love to see the video of Dennis and his paintings.
