Thread subject: Woods Hole has 3 eggs!
Name Date Message
Shelley 04/27/14 10:34 am I just saw a changeover of the adults and the 3 egg were visible.

The eclectic decor at this nest remains.

:-)
Anne-UK 04/27/14 04:27 pm That's great news. I've not looked in for a few days - glad to hear they're keeping up their high decorative standards :)
Shelley 05/02/14 09:27 am Can anyone identify the latest addition to the nest. At first, I thought it was a dead snake but seriously, what could it be??

Just below the 12 o'clock position, sort of yellowish

Woods Hole
Shelley 05/02/14 09:32 am She just repositioned herself so that the *thing* is now under her bum feathers. Stay tuned...
jazzel 05/02/14 10:51 am The latest addition is a Conch (Whelk) egg case.
The third egg was laid on 4/25
Shelley 05/02/14 12:31 pm Wow, I would not have guessed that! Thanks. It's that twisted, ribbed looking tube that is sort of draped over that small piece of wood.

So interesting! Thanks, Jazzel
Anne-UK 05/02/14 05:01 pm It's not in sight now. A shame - I'd like to see it. I did just see a changeover of incubation duties though. So good to see this nest back in use.
Pam 05/06/14 04:38 pm So long since I looked in here but nice to see old faithfuls still posting the Osprey news. Good that Woods Hole has three eggs. I just saw them. The nest is still being shared with small birds too it seems.
Shelley 05/06/14 08:30 pm And even though they returned later than expected to Hellgate, as of yesterday, there is now a first egg there too!
I love this time of year!
