Thread subject: Puleston Family Members??
||05/14/14 02:23 am
Are there any members of the Puleston Family on this message board or anyone who knows any family members/
I posted earlier about one of D.Puleston's books and am trying to authenticate a signature.
Can anyone help?

Nancy had posted her phone number for you to get in touch with her, in that last post but when you hadn't checked back in, she removed it. Now that you've posted here again, watch this space more frequently as she will most likely be able to help you.

Danny - Leave a message with your phone # & I'll get back to you. OR check back the next day or two after you leave your message.

||Nancy, so sorry for my slackness.
Thank you so much. Awaiting your call.

||Where in the world do you live??
Anyway, I spoke with his daughter, Jennifer, & she feels certain that it IS Dennis' signature, as he signed many & as she said...",,,who else would be signing it?" Where did you come across it? In a book store? It's definitely a great read.

||Hi Nancy, thanks for the info!
I live in London, England.
I honestly have no idea where it came from.
Most likely a family member or friend. But no one seems to remember. Typical :)
What's also interesting is the edition.
It's the 1939 self-published blue paperback edition. I've only ever seen two others like it on the net, but never signed.
I'm interested to know what happened that made Dennis want to put out a self-published edition. Problems with the publishers perhaps? Or prior to a publishing deal perhaps.
It certainly is a great read. Well, I didn't read this one. A later edition.
If you or Jennifer know of anyone who would want to buy this copy, send them my way please. It's unread and in very good condition.

||I think Jen wasn't born much after 1939, so I guess she has no idea about that early publishing. I'll give her the info, though. Actually she was surprised to hear we are still talking on this site since the 'cam' has not been working for the past 6 years.

||Ha! They can't get rid of us that easily! ;-)
We're like the osprey, returning to our original nesting site!
