Shelley 04/10/15 01:43 pm Even though the nest looks uninhabited to me (small stone and pine cone still in the centre of the nest, no *building* sticks visible), and I have yet to see an osprey or any other bird for that matter, I noticed a fish dead centre of the nest. That has to be a good sign...I hope!
Trishrg 04/10/15 04:27 pm Osprey on the nest now.

martyc35 04/10/15 04:30 pm Yes, saw it just now.

Shelley 04/11/15 05:47 pm Just watched one osprey on Hellgate's nest, eating then leaving, and another osprey at Dunrovin.

Yay - let the games begin!
Trishrg 04/12/15 09:07 am Looks like a couple inches of snow at Hellgate and a dusting at Dunrovin.
Let the snow melt begin!
Shelley 04/12/15 09:14 am Oh no, not again! Sheesh!
How much longer can this go on? Pity we in the east can't pack up the snow from this winter and ship it out to end the drought in California!
Shelley 04/12/15 12:06 pm snow is disappearing, osprey female on nest now
Shelley 04/13/15 11:53 am Osprey on the nest and she's moving in! Several sticks have been dropped, though not yet placed. But it's the sign I was hoping for. Apparently, she has made peace with the construction and decided she will not be moved from her home! Soo happy! :-)
Anne-UK 04/13/15 01:18 pm I had a look in earlier and saw nest building in progress. I guess they're pretty used to traffic and noise in that location.
