Anne-UK 08/13/15 04:32 pm I just picked up this link on the North Fork webcam page. It shows nest sites on the eastern end of Long Island. I had no idea there were so many! - Link

Trishrg 08/13/15 08:29 pm Really interesting. I just ended up reading more than I probably wanted to know about Plum Island....
Mickey 08/14/15 01:58 pm Wow that map is interesting. I am not surprised at the amount, I`m surprised by the lack of nests on the South fork.
Celeste 09/06/15 05:29 am Haven't had much osprey time this season, however, I was rewarded a couple of days ago visiting a friend who lives about 10 miles East from me. She is fortunate to live in a house that overlooks a lake, and while we were sitting outside having lunch, (I made sure I was sitting facing the lake) a juvenile was circling and practicing his fishing technique. I was thrilled. The chirps I haven't heard in a while were there along with the sounds of the osprey splashing dive into the water. My friend said that a crow had stolen a fish from the Osprey a few days ago. True Osprey Heaven!
Shelley 09/06/15 09:59 am Lucky you, Celeste!! I miss it too!

It's been awfully quiet here on the board lately. Glad to see some action today!
