Thread subject: Puleston's nest

Nancy L 07/10/16 07:28 pm My husband had to work on their swimming pool, so I tagged along. So as I got out of the car, I heard an osprey calling overhead. I went up to the top of the silo in the barn. I used binoculars to see the nests.....old cam & newer 'wagon wheel' one. The adults were 'out & about' and so the chicks were lying low as they tend to do when they're alone.
Sally, Puleston's youngest daughter, was down from Canada where she lives...for a visit. She thought the chicks were fledged, but I don't think so, as others in the area haven't fledged yet, to my knowledge.

Kathy 07/12/16 09:37 am Those were nice times when the chicks were alone in the nest, peaceful, no fighting and looking around. Nice to know someone still checks how things are going with "our nest." Thank you Nancy for the news.
Celeste 07/13/16 05:34 am Thank you Nancy! Love your updates! Nice to be still connected to "the" nest!
Trishrg 07/15/16 08:51 am So good to read this report. With everything to see on the interwebs, reading updates like this are the best!!
Thanks Nancy!
Anne-UK 07/15/16 04:31 pm You're right Trish. So many cams these days but if the DPOF cam was still running I think it would still be my top choice. Thanks for the update Nancy.
(Is it really seven years since we lost the cam. Where did all that time go!)
Mickey 07/18/16 04:46 pm great news Nancy. thank you.
Pam 07/31/16 07:37 am Thank you for your message Nancy. Good to know all is well at the Puleston location. Good memories come flooding back. We have so much to thank Dennis Puleston for but hardly any Osprey lovers would even know his name these days. Those of us in the know will be ever grateful for his research.
