Thread subject: The old Puleston nest
Name Date Message
Nancy L 04/28/18 12:01 pm Hi all........This is from my husband Jim, who summerizes the pool there. Jen, Betty & Dennis' daughter, said that a pair of owls took over the nest. The ospreys are looking for another place to build. I'll try to find out which owl species it is. Maybe I'll get over there & check with my binoculars.
Trishrg2 04/29/18 08:49 am Interesting, but crikey!. My best guess would be Great Horned. Nobody's going to mess with them.
Let us know what you find.
Nancy L 04/30/18 02:41 pm Yup! Great Horned Owls in the old Puleston nest.
AnneUK 05/01/18 07:38 am Oh dear, what a shame. The end of an era. Plus I imagine they'll be a threat to any new nest the ospreys might build close by.
Kathy 05/01/18 09:15 am What sad news.
Mickey 05/04/18 01:21 pm :(
